In 2000, I was given the task of creating an employee-information center for Duke Energy. This turned out to be a very daunting task, but what resulted was a beautifully sculpted piece of Lobby Artwork that was as informative as it was appealing. This display was also very technical in design, and was run through a self-updated web browser designed to refresh its cache every few minutes, meaning updates could be made from any computer in the building that had proper access, and the lobby display would automatically update itself. This same web-driven power point presentation was available on the intranet, for any employee to pull up and view right on their own desktop. Also, underneath the large screens, were three smaller screen with information regarding weather, stock quotes, and news updates.
