When we were approached by a marketing agency working for BigRed Gum and asked for 5 complete Starsky Torino's,... the first obvious question was "Why?"

Someone had a marketing brainstorm and wanted S&H cars to use for advertisement and promotional events, complete with interior kiosks' and video game consoles. We kicked the idea around and soon realized that there isn't much you can do with or put into a 2dr Torino.

Ideas went back and forth for a few days and they finally settled on the A-Team van, which makes sense. The A-Team van is a very noticeable vehicle, very sporty looking and of course VERY versatile and utilitarian. Any person or business looking to perform daily activities, (pickups, deliveries, drop-offs or mobile marketing/sales) but wanting to look good doing it need look no further than the A-Team van.

This of course would be a very lengthy process. We did have current projects underway and with the order for 5 large vans ordered right in the middle of summer, we were looking at a winter delivery date. "Well, we need them in about 30 days..."

OK, a nearly impossible task. Create 5 very large vehicles, customized with hand-produced parts that are not available, some of the parts being created purely from scratch, and on top of that they must be ready to ship in just 4 short weeks..... (as long as they can write the checks) this sounds like a job for the BK-Team!

One serious added-wrench in the project was the purchase of two G30 vehicles, which DO NOT accept the 5 lug wheels of course. Complete rear end swaps were absolutely necessary, including custom driveshaft work, and front suspension/spindle swaps from donor vehicles.

I can certainly say this is the most terrible deadline we have ever worked against, but by midnight of the last day, I had 5 completely painted A-Team vans and parts resting in the shop, needing only fine-tuning and some final assembly to be used for their intended purpose. "I love it when a plan comes together."

So feel free to browse through the vans to follow their construction from start to finish, and keep in mind: Should you find yourself in trouble, in need of custom fabrication or a specialty vehicle, with no one else to turn to,... if you can afford it, and if you can find them, maybe you to can hire, the BK -TEAM!
